The 2019 UIM XCAT World Championship season will finally fire into action in Stresa, Italy this weekend.

13 boats will compete in 2 races on Lake Maggiore, including the defending World Champions Shaun Torrente and Faleh Al Mansoori in Team Abu Dhabi.

Torrente has already bagged his first World Championship of the season, the UIM World Circuit Endurance, and currently leads in the UIM F1H2o points standings.

Another F1H2o racer, Erik Stark, will be racing Swecat with Sebastian Groth.

Groth was last in action at the UIM 3C World Championships in Tvedestrand last week where he drove to seventh overall.

Darren Nicholson and Giovanni Carpitella have already raced together this season, the pairing are competing in the APBA Championship in Class One International and are currently third in the standings.

Roberto Lo Piano and Maurizio Carando will be racing in their home country in Lucky20, Carando’s season started in Macau, where he competed in the Asia Powerboat Championship, taking the pole position, leading the series after the first day, before he was forced out with serious hull damage.

The most successful racers ever in the XCAT World Championship, Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir Bin Hendi will once again be campaigning their Dubai Police boat.
