2015 and 2016 UIM Class 3D World Champion Francois Pinelli from France had to settle for fourth place in Heat 1 of the 2017 Championship held in Chioggia, Italy on Thursday.

Former UIM XCAT racers, Serafino Barlesi and Alessandro Barone took the win, with Roberto Lo Piano and Mario Petroni making it an Italian ‘One / Two’ on the podium.

The final 2 heats will be contested over this weekend.

4th) Francois Pinelli and Mathieu Bacellini (FRA) – Bimba – 169 points

5th) Andrea Comello and Piero Scaramal (ITA) – Pink Venice – 127 points
