Former waterski racer Bianca Bastin will join Emirates Racing for the second round of the UIM F1H2O World Championship in Portimão next weekend.
The 31 year-old from Melk (Austria), silver-medalist in the 2012 Waterski European Championship will be the second female driver in the Emirates Racing line-up, alongside Marit Strømøy.
Team owner Paola Gillman and Team Manager Emanuela Procaccini are really pleased to be welcoming her in the team and hope she can gain a lot of experience from competing in the 2019 F4-s season.
An enthusiastic Bianca Bastin told Powerboat Racing World:
I am so looking forward to it and I am so happy to get this chance. I never thought that this dream could come true. I hope to learn a lot from the experience from all the people there on and off the water and I want to enjoy every minute of it.
The UIM F1H2O Grand Prix of Portugal is set to start on Friday May 17 where F4 boats will be the first to hit the water for a Free Practice session.
