F2 U.I.M. Race Director, Pelle Larsson, should have a ‘slightly’ easier job at the Tønsberg Båtrace next month.

It’s no secret in F2 that a course during a race is notoriously hard to monitor without technology, and to that end event organiser, Frode Sundsdal, has announced a solution today.

He has brought Norwegian company, SEEU Kameraovervåkning, on board to implement a full camera surveillance system around the Tønsberg track.

Larsson will then be able to see any incidents on a bank of monitors from his timing tent position.

Not only will SEEU be supplying surveillance, they will also be providing WiFi in the pit area.

The second round of the UIM F2 World Championship will be held in Tønsberg, Norway over the weekend of August 2-4.
