2016 British F4 Champion Sam Whittle will be competing his BaBa hull in the F4-S races in Portimão, Portugal next weekend.
Whittle will be racing for Duarte Benavente’s F1 Atlantic team, in what can only be described as a last minute decision.
A deal was done on Monday and the boat started its 1400 mile trip to the race venue on Tuesday.

Whittle’s father Keith, who runs the Marine Engineering company, Powertech Marine, in the south of England commented:
It really was last minute dot com!
We packed the boat, tools and equipment straight after coming back from the The Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club Interclub event.
It’s a great opportunity for Sam – I was booked up to go over anyway, watch the racing and have a few days break in the sun.
It looks like I’m going to be working all that weekend now!
Powerboat Racing World will be covering the first 2 F4-S races of the season from Portugal.
