British Championship Ready to Make Waves at Oulton Broad this Bank Holiday

Frode Sundsdal on 27th April 2025

The 2025 Circuit Powerboat Association British Championship roars into action this Bank Holiday weekend, with the opening round hosted at the iconic Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad.

Taking place over Sunday, May 4th, and Monday, May 5th, the event, organized by the Lowestoft & Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club (LOBMBC), promises a spectacular weekend of high-octane racing, gathering some of the UK’s best powerboat racers.

Engines will fire up from 12 noon on both days, as racers across six classes — GT15, GT30, F4, F2, OSY400, and T850 — battle it out to gain an early advantage in the championship hunt.

Club Commodore Peter Mantripp is eager to kickstart the season in style:

“We look forward to welcoming all the visiting competitors to the opening round of the 2025 Circuit Powerboat Association British Championship and hope to get the Championship off to a fantastic start.”

With a strong fleet of homegrown talent ready to defend local pride and conditions on their side, LOBMBC’s racers are tipped to shine as they look to retain — or claim — British Championship titles.
