Carella – A Season to Forget

Chris Davies on 5th December 2018

Four-time defending UIM F1H2o World Champion, Alex Carella has had a season to forget.

Going into this weekend’s Grand Prix of Abu Dhabi, the Italian driver currently sits in eleventh place in the Championship with the nine points that he picked up in the season-opener in Portimao, Portugal (above).

Huraiz Bin Huraiz, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Victory Team commented on the situation:

Everything has been new for us this year starting with brand-new boats and a new driver at the helm.

So naturally, we expected to take our time to get used to these new situations.

Our drivers have always been up to it and tried their best to bring in the results.

On a positive note, he added:

It’s all in our hands now.

We have had issues that are normal with the building up of any team in any sport.

The last two races are our home runs where historically we have done well in past years.

We are hopeful of a future that can kick-start from the 2019 season.
