The Multispark / Rock Oil driver Williams-Hawkes told me after the 41.50 mile race:

It’s was nice and yeah a bit choppy, but nice good water and good fun.

It has taken a while to get into the position of being able to win again with a lot of work and effort that has been put into the boat.

Mike’s a pretty experienced co-pilot, he’s knows what he’s doing and getting the nose down.

Littler added:

We kept kept it level and just powered on through.

Team Endeavour Racing #63 crewed by Scott Kershaw and Sean Hemans were second while Lewis Huddy and Joe Spencer took third in Elite Racing.

In that first year, Team Endeavour competed in the Rolex Fastnet sailing race, since then they have used ThunderCat Racing to create an enjoyable and stimulating environment to develop, inspire and challenge during the demanding and difficult time while transitioning from the military to a civilian career.

The Team Endeavour project is managed, raced and supported by wounded, injured and sick (WIS) personnel and veterans who thrive in a challenging marine environment.

This weekend in Poole, the team are fielding four entries into rounds one and two of the 2021 UKOPRA ThunderCat Racing Championship.

The teams that Endeavour are fielding are Tony Colton and Johnathan Bulleyment, Johnny Slater and Justin Boyle, Scott Kershaw and Sean Hemans, Aaron Hilton and Charlotte Colton.

It’s been a tough season for the pair who only started racing together at the start of the 2018 season.

Tapp explained:

We gradually got quicker, but not before a few of my old rivals came out of the woodwork to keep us on our toes.

Winning the surf round at the world famous Fistral Beach on the north coast of Cornwall proved to be their highlight:

It’s a beautiful event where the fantastic surf conditions never disappoint.

Next stop for them and several of the ThunderCat teams will be the P750 World Championships in Frejus, France at the end of September.

Today we tested a few propellers around this circuit as its going to be similar condition in France.

Tapp was amazed when he saw one their rival French teams in the race pits today keeping a watching brief on the British teams:

We’re going there with no preconceived ideas about how we will do as we know the international teams are quick, they found out today though that we are not going to be slow.
