Next month Hong Kong will host the inaugural Asia Powerboat Race that will be supported by the Hong Kong Tourist Association and will be held over the weekend of November 9-11.
Powerboat Racing World has already profiled 2 of the drivers that will be taking part, Matt Palfreyman and Sarah Donohue, today we turn our attention to Charlotte Camsey.
Charlotte is an aerospace engineer from the West Country of England and has followed the sport of Powerboat Racing from a young age.
When the Asia Powerboat Championship organiser, Martin Lai was campaigning his Ocean Dragon Racing boat in the Powerboat P1 series, Charlotte was attending races in Europe to support and cheer him on.
The keen athlete, surfer and water lover is however new to racing a boat, but already has the determination to win.
Charlotte has not only tested the new John Guille designed hull in Hong Kong, Martin Lai shipped a boat back to the UK for her to test and race in at her local club events.
With a local heat win under her belt with the Tohatsu 50 powered boat, Charlotte is all set to take away honours from Hong Kong next month!
