The City of Whiting is excited to welcome P1 AquaX to Whiting Lakefront Park for the first round of the 2016 AquaX Amateur Enduro Great Lakes Championships. Join us Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. as racers from all over the U.S. and Canada hit the southern shores of Lake Michigan to race their personal watercraft, averaging speeds of 68 mph.
For those who are not familiar, P1 AquaX is the largest and fastest growing personal watercraft championship in the world and they have chosen to kick off their Chicagoland jetski racing series right here in Whiting, Indiana. Spectators from near and far are welcome to find a spot in Whiting Lakefront Park to sit and enjoy this free event along the lakeshore.
Top contenders to watch include Eric Lagopoulos and Jason Russo from Sarasota, Florida and Mike Klippenstein from Fort Murray Canada.
