Danielle Strawford-Jones has been at the very heart of organising offshore racing in Britain using her renowned talents as UKOPRA’s Safety Officer.

The former offshore racer has been enjoying a relaxing and healthy vacation in Key West this last few days with her husband Kevin who she married on the U.S. island city this time last year.

Today, Danielle will be helping the ‘Dark Side Offshore Racing Rescue’ team during the final day’s racing of the Race World Offshore event.

She will be working alongside David Harshfield, the Rescue and Safety Coordinator, and Mark Austin, Assistant Rescue Coordinator.

The unflappable Danielle is acutely aware of the accidents during racing last Wednesday and Friday and said:

I am looking forward to working and learning from David and Mark today, and as always, look forward to the competitors having a safe day on the water.
