The Victory Team have decided to bolster the team’s chances to win the Class 1 International APBA Offshore Championship Series next month by fielding a second boat crewed by Erik Stark and John Tomlinson.
Stark recently signed for the team to race for them in F1H2o and now he will make his debut for the ‘boys in blue’, in Victory 33 at the Roar Offshore event to be held October 10-12 along Fort Myers Beach, Florida
The Victory Team’s Board of Directors Chairman, Huraiz Bin Huraiz explained:
While Salem Al Adidi and Eisa Al Ali will be in Victory 3, we have decided to run the second Boat Victory 33 with Stark alongside America’s John Tomlinson as throttle man.
The Victory Team combination of Al Adidi and Al Ali started off slowly with a second place at the season opening round on Cocoa Beach.
They followed this up with a first place at Lake Ozark only to slip into third at the third round in Sarasota.
They recovered well to win Round Four in St Clair before a mechanical issue saw them take third place for the second time this season in Round Five in Michigan.
Bin Huraiz concluded:
We have to be realistic about our chances in such a demanding sport, where even a minor mistake can end up with bizarre results.
At the Board level, we all felt that it’s best that we provide our team of champions with the opportunity to go all out for a record world title,.
