F1H2O have today announced that the Grand Prix of Sharjah will take place over the weekend of 13 – 18 December 2021.
H2o Racing’s Lavinia Cavallero commented on the calendar date:
We are very happy to resume racing in Sharjah, it’s a location that has always welcomed us with great enthusiasm and affection.
Sharjah means a lot for all of us and for me it represents the culmination of a year of work.
The last race organised by F1H2O was held in the UAE emirate back in December 2019 when Shaun Torrente won the world championship.
HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority commented:
The Grand Prix of Sharjah has become a leading water sports arena in the region and we look forward to resuming this extremely popular event, placing us at the forefront for engaging sports activities and sports tourism.
In the 20 years that F1H2O has been coming here, we have seen Sharjah become a strategic tourism destination.
H2o Racing are expected to announce further 2021 racing dates in due course.
