The Formula 1 Powerboat Championship series is returning to beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona on October 14-17 to celebrate the annual Lake Havasu Classic Outboard Championships.

Powerboat racing will once again dazzle the shores of this desert city at the original historic location on Thompson Bay adjacent to the Nautical Beachfront Resort. Anderson Toyota is bringing all the heart-thumping, high-horsepower deck to deck powerboat racing excitement back to Lake Havasu City as the main event for this years classic.
Other elements of this event include a Friday Night Pit Party to meet your favorite drivers and teams while viewing their racing equipment, Vintage Boat Display, Lake Havasu Classic Racer Reunion showcasing the legendary drivers of our sport, Cold Pit Area Access, Vendors, Food, Beverages and more Family Fun! Race headquarters at the Nautical Beachfront Resort, 1000 McCulloch Blvd. N, overlooking Thompson Bay offers the complete fan experience from the exclusive Roostertail VIP Experience on their lakeside terrace to FREE Front and Center Racecourse Viewing on the beach front.
Keeping the action going Monday October 17th with a visit to Thunderbolt Middle School for the Kids on the Colorado River Program- Racing Edition, educational program followed by the F1 Powerboat Championship year end Awards Banquet. We intend to reignite a spark of powerboat racing history and foster new growth for our sport.
The prestigious Formula 1 Powerboat Championship Series–known for its world class powerboat racing action–will be conducting all the powerboat racing related activities. The action-packed outboard racing held at the historic Nautical Beachfront Resort venue will entertain fans with three classes of fierce powerboat competition! This American Powerboat Association (APBA) sanctioned event with participating teams vying for the F1PC Series Year End Championships in Formula 1, Tri Hull, and the hotly contested in the Formula Lights division.
The combination of the roughneck Texas Tri-Hull racing, a full field of Formula Lights, and the Formula 1 showcase creating an unforgettable weekend, in which we will honor our past powerboat predecessors while making new memories with our current fraternity of participants.
Festivities begin Friday morning October 14 with pit area set up, registration, boat tech inspection, and testing for all divisions. Saturday October 15th, begins bright and early as our full schedule of action on the water kicks off with a mandatory 8:00 am drivers meeting followed by testing/qualifying sessions, opening ceremonies, and all the racing action in all three divisions. Sunday October 16th begins heat racing prior to the opening ceremonies followed by the weekends championship grand finales.
