Langdon ‘smashes it’ in Hong Kong

John Moore on 9th November 2018

Drew Langdon overcame a gruelling overnight flight from London, arrived at race briefing with minutes to spare and then set the fastest lap time in Hong Kong today.

The 2018 Harmsworth Trophy winner carded a 1 minute 12 second lap time in a Tohatsu 50 hp powered John Guille designed monohull by the Ma On Shan Promenade.

Langdon told me tonight:

I only just made it from Hong Kong airport to the race briefing.

To ‘smash it’ with the fastest lap is very pleasing!

The Asia Powerboat Race Officer of the Day, Rory Power will collate today’s times set by 11 drivers and will announce the starting line-up before the 3 races tomorrow morning.
