Aaron Ciantar won the first of a 3 race UIM V1 World Championship in Chioggia, Italy on Thursday.

Ciantar’s Chaudron hull, built and designed by his family boat business in Malta, saw off competition from Italian’s Tommy One (Maurizio Schepici and Stefano Bonanno) and Cola (Karel More, Giuseppe Schiano and Rosario Schiano).

The German entry, Searex Baltec was the fourth and final entrant to this depleted ‘World Championship’.
