It was the perfect debut for Anton Modin’s brand new Phantom 19G hull at Nynäshamn today.
Modin had only tested the hull briefly with co-driver Susanne Jansson before totally dominating heat 1 of the UIM Class 3A European Championship, winning with over a 2 1/2 minute lead.
Remarkably, the hull was only ordered early last month after the Swede’s Tintorera hull delaminated during the World Championship’s held in Norway.
Inge Lund and Leander Knutsen from Norway, steered their Ocke Mannerfelt built and designed bat boat to second with Rasmus Hamrén and Filip Eriksson driving their Hotshot 21′ to third.
The second and final heat of the Championship will be held tomorrow.
