Veteran Offshore racer Robin Culpan has passed away after a long illness. 

Culpan a Director of the popular Lake Yard facility in Poole, Dorset was a prolific competitor of the Cowes Torquay Cowes race.

Navigating for Italian teams in 1981 and 1993, Culpan guided Rombo (with Alberto Smania & Alberto Diridoni) and SM Racer (with Sergio Mion & Guiseppe Amati) to victory and the coveted Beaverbrook Trophy.

His love of the water not only included Offshore Powerboat Racing but also sailing.
