Rouen 24 organisers press on despite COVID-19 fears

John Moore on 9th March 2020

The Rouen Yacht Club (RYC) have announced today that they are pressing on with the organisation of the 57th 24 Heures motonautiques de Rouen.

The event is due to run over the weekend of May 1-3, with testing slated for the Friday and two racing sessions over Saturday and Sunday.

The RYC are expecting drivers from 20 different countries to compete in three classes, (Class 2, Class 3 and X-Class).

It is an optimistic signal from the RYC as the French Health Minister, Olivier Véran has banned gatherings of more than 1,000 people due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
