The entry list for the 2019, 24 Heures Motonautiques de Rouen has been posted by the organisers, competitors will compete in 2 two official classes, (S2 & S3) with a brand new X class which is for hydrogen engines.
The organisers are keen to show their green credentials, introducing new procedures and technologies which include:
- ‘Noise systems’ on the engines that have reduced noise levels by at least 20%
- ‘Clean management’ during repairs
- Cleaning of the docks before and after the race
- The introduction of a hydrogen engine by request of the the UIM to create a new category of ‘clean energy’ boats
- The end of the class S1 class which was powered by the ageing 2.5litre Mercury engine
The pre-race favourite teams of Abu Dhabi and Nollet Powered by New Star are once again fielding all star driver line-ups.
