Skagerak Across and Arendal Marathon 2017 cancelled

John Moore on 16th March 2017

Two UIM Marathon events in Norway, the Skagerak Across and Arendal Marathon have been cancelled by the organisers due to a lack of entries.

The Tvedestrand Racing Klubb announced on their web site that at yesterday’s entry deadline, there was ‘only one officially registered boat’.

The Tvedestrand based club had set a minimum of 10 entries to run the two races and hope to run the events in 2018.

This just leaves 2 UIM Marathon events on the international calendar, the recently formed International Powerboat Race Club (IPRC), will be organising its inaugural event in July and the British Powerboat Racing Club (BPRC) will be staging the classic Cowes Torquay Cowes in August.
