Sundblad Johansen and Virik Nilsen lead UIM 3D Euros in 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐚

Erik Sundblad Johansen and Pål Virik Nilsen won the the first of two rounds of the UIM Class 3D European Championship in Cervia, Italy.

The Norwegian team averaged 64.35 NMH in challenging conditions in a race that saw the top 3 boats disqualified for course infringements.

Fernando de Mitri and Gianluca Coltro were second, they steered De Mitri home at 63.93 NMH with Giampaolo Montavoci and Kristian Ghedina third and the only other finisher.

Yellow cards and disqualifications were handed to the crews of La Vida Loca, Sabbie Di Parma and Espace Power, while Banca Generali and Hoses Technology also received the same penalties but were classified as retirements.

The deciding round will be held on Sunday.
