Tomorrow, (Saturday 27th August), Tønsberg in Norway will host a glittering array of the fastest boats in the world.

The event that has attracted big name hulls such as Nor-Tech, Skater, Cigarette and Formula is known as the Tønsberg Poker Run.

Organiser Frode Sundsdal commented:

Our team have used the expertise gleaned from running UIM International races to put on Tønsberg’s very first Poker Run.

 

However, this is not a race, it’s a powerboat meeting!

When the boats go out on Saturday morning, the focus is on the social side.

We will drive a motorcade in two groups as there are over 50 boats.
The route goes via Stauper and Færder lighthouse before we hold a joint lunch at the Havna hotel, Tjøme.
