Weather warnings force shortened Cowes Torquay Cowes course

Simon Wood Power, the Officer of the Day of this year’s Cowes Torquay Cowes event has been forced to run a shortened course after instructions issued by the Torquay Harbour Master warning of severe weather conditions approaching tomorrow.

In a Race Briefing with the competitors tonight, Wood Power advised that the raceboats will be running a ‘storm course’ that will comprise of 2 laps totalling 91.00 NM.

The competitors were also advised that the race will count as double points towards the Harmsworth Trophy.
