Two rounds of the 2022 UIM XCAT World Championship were held in Fujairah back in March, after which, Giovanni Carpitella and Darren Nicholson topped the points table.

Since then, there hasn’t been another race.

Boats were subsequently shipped from the UAE to Europe with the prospect of racing at an event to be held in Italy in the summer.

That race didn’t take place.

PRW spoke to Matteo Nicolini from the SIX Team who hopes that there may be a race held in Sardinia next month.

However, nothing has been confirmed to date.

It was Nicolini’s understanding that the XCAT boats would now remain in Europe for the foreseeable future.
