3B WC, can B32 clinch it ?

Smuggler Racing B32 is gearing up for the 2024 World Championship with a fresh approach. After years of striving for the title and frequently securing podium finishes without clinching the top spot, the team has decided to update to a more modern and sleek boat.

Rasmus commented,

“We have aimed many years for a world title, taking both European, Swedish, Finnish, and Nordic titles but never a WC. Sometimes it feels like the title doesn’t want to be in our hands, placing ourselves on the 3rd and 2nd podium. We hope this year, with optimism in the new boat and updates, to achieve the best.”

The team also expresses gratitude towards their loyal sponsors and welcomes new partners joining them in their quest for the WC title. With the largest starting field since the 90s, including over 17 teams from Norway, Sweden, and Finland in Offshore UIM 3B, the competition is fiercer than ever. However, Smuggler Racing B32 remains hopeful that their new advancements will lead them to ultimate victory.

Rasmus and Madeleine have already seen success this season, securing a first-place podium in Finland and a total third-place finish in Smedjebacken, Sweden, last weekend. But is this enough for a world title? Only time will tell.

Offshore 3 championships i 2024

The UIM has selected Arendal and Larvik in Norway as host cities for some of the 2024 UIM Offshore title Championship events. Arendal will hold a round of the highly anticipated UIM Offshore 3D World Championship, as well as the prestigious single eventUIM Offshore 3B World Championship and the UIM Offshore 3J, 3X, and 3C European Championships.

These thrilling events will take place from August 1st to 4th.

On the other hand, Larvik, unfortunately, lost the opportunity to host a round of the Offshore 3D World Championship, but on June 27th to 30th, the city will be offered to organize the UIM World Championship single event for classes 3A, 3X, and 3J.

This outcome has left the local organizers in Larvik disappointed, and a board meeting will be held to determine the course of action for the club.

Team Abu Dhabi face familiar rivals as new series launches in Khor Fakkan

Al Zaffain, Bin Hendi aim for another Class 3 victory in Fazza

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 3^rd December, 2023: Team Abu Dhabi will be up against familiar rivals when they look to start the new UAE Class-3 Offshore Powerboat Championship with a victory in Khor Fakkan on Thursday.

The experienced pairings of Faleh Al Mansoori with Shaun Torrente in Abu Dhabi 4 and Rashed Al Tayer alongside Majed Al Mansoori in Abu Dhabi 5 expect a highly competitive opening round, which is part of the Khor Fakkan Marine Festival.

The revival of Class 3 racing in the UAE began earlier this year, with Arif Al Zaffain and Nadir Bin Hendi taking Fazza to victory in Abu Dhabi.

They will be among the leading contenders in the new championship getting under way in Khor Fakkan, with further rounds to follow in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.

Team Abu Dhabi can also expect a serious challenge from Sharjah Team’s Konstantin Ustinov and Dmitry Vandyshev, as well as the Team GB duo of Scott Williams and Martin Campbell, while Kuwait’s Bader al Dousari and Abdullatif Al Omani go for a win in Raheeb17.

Torrente, the three-time F1H2O world champion, is happy to be returning to Class 3 action alongside Faleh Al Mansoori for Thursday’s opening race.

“I’m looking forward to racing in Khor Fakkan,” said Torrente. “It’s a new venue for me. I’ve never raced there before. It will be a nice course, with about three quarters of it protected, and the rest not protected, making it a nice mix.

“Faleh and I have raced so much together, and he knows what I want, and I know what he wants. He’s really done a good job over the years, growing into his role as a driver, and being confident, and comfortable, in the boat.

“His confidence is high now, and he knows that if we do our job well, it will be difficult for anyone to beat us. I love having him in the boat with me.”

On this occasion, Torrente and Mansoori will miss the second Class 3 race on Friday to allow the triple world champion to take part in official practice on Khalid Lagoon for Sunday’s Grand Prix of Sharjah, final round of this year’s F1H2O world championship.

Norwegian offshore team signs super deal in Dubai

Arif Al Zafeen and Nadir Bin Hindi welcomes Erik Sundblad Johansen and Norway Offshore Racing Team as a customer and signs a deal for 2 new offshore class 3D boat for 2024.

17 times offshore Worldchampion, Arif Al Zafeen said:
