Exciting News from the UIMF1h2o Powerboat Racing World Championship!

We are thrilled to share that Marit Strømøy, the first driver in the championship to switch to the super modern Mercury Racing 360 APX, had an incredible start in the competition. In the first free practice session held in Olbia, Italy, Marit secured a fantastic top 12 finish.

To add to this fantastic news, Marit is now joined by the newly nominated Jeff Broman, who has been appointed as the director of the “Mercury Racing category.” With his expertise and support, Marit is looking forward to reaching new heights in her racing career.

Speaking about her experience, Marit shared,

“I’m sure I had an over 200 pulse before the first session.” Her determination and focus were evident throughout, as she added, “We have just scratched the surface – and we are very happy with the result. I think I can shave another 1 second off.”

If Marit achieves this incredible feat, it would undoubtedly be a sensation and could potentially secure a top 6 position for tomorrows qualifying.
