As offshore racing competitors arrive in Tvedestrand Norway for the first round of the UIM Class 3B World Championship Rasmus Hamrén and Madeleine Samuelsson are all set to add a world title to their European one.
The pair have been racing together in a Mercury ProXS 115 powered Twister 20 Special since 2017 that year they claimed the Swedish Championship to add to their Nordic Championship title which they won in Nynäshamn.
When Hamrén spoke to PRW he confirmed that the morning test session had gone to plan.
We think we have enough speed, but we must also make sure that everything holds together. Like everyone in the race pits we always want to find more speed, maybe we could change the gear box, but we can’t afford to leave Norway without any points.
Unlike the UIM Class 3C title which will be decided in Norway, those competing for the 3B title will have two races in Tvedestrand and a further two races in Öregrund, Sweden at the beginning of August.
Race 1 of the 3B Class will take place on Thursday 7 July, with the second one taking place on Saturday 9 July.
Full coverage can be found on the PRW website, including Live Streaming at various times throughout the race week.
