Steve Curtis has confirmed that he will be racing for Victory Team at the 38th Annual Key West World Championships in November.
The 8 time UIM Class 1 World Champion won the Superboat Unlimited 2018 National Championship at Clearwater, Florida last weekend throttling Miss Geico.
It’s understood that Geico, the second largest car insurer in the US doesn’t receive as much benefit to its business in Key West as it does with other SBI venues in Florida.
That left Curtis free to race for the Dubai based Victory Team and he told me today:
The likelihood is that I will race with Eisa Al Ali in the Lamborghini powered Victory cat.
The current Superboat Unlimited engine rules leave Victory with a power disadvantage as Curtis explains:
You can have any power you like this year, although all engines will be based on the QVC4 for next year.
