Jonas Andersson has only 1 thing on his mind. Revenge, Jonas wants to bring back what he lost in Sharjah back in Desember 2023. In the First Free Practice he post a time of 59,90, the only pilot sub 1 minute. Shaun Torrente, defending Worldchampion was 0,217 sec off the pace and Marit Strømoy, who did not even test yesterday was 3rd. 0.585 off pace.
Marit Strømøy told PRW after FFP :
A tricky racecircuit and some rollers makes everything quite unpredictable. We did some changes to the balance, the engine and props during the session and got things dialled in. Hopefully the weather stays ok for the qualifying
Shaun Torrente told PRW :
I feel good, when I did my time the water was not nice.. he did his time in the end, alone. Will be a fight but I like my chances
In a teams perspective, its :
F1 Team Sweden – 1 and 6
Team Abu Dhabi – 2 and 5
Strømøy Racing – 3 and 4

Officlal press release :
Saturday, February 25: Team Sweden’s former World Champion Jonas Andersson became the first driver to break the one-minute lap time barrier during free practice for Sunday’s Kopiko Grand Prix of Indonesia. A flying lap of 59.90sec around the demanding Lake Toba circuit in Sumatra was enough for the Swede to win the free practice session by 0.216 seconds.
The defending World Champion Shaun Torrente was Andersson’s closest challenger and his best tour of 1min 00.12sec is an early indication that the Team Abu Dhabi man is ready to resume the thrilling duel that ended with him winning a third world title last December.
With a new engine and new propellers, a refreshed Norwegian Marit Strømøy finished the session in third place and her team-mate Bartek Marszalek and Thani Al-Qemzi of Team Abu Dhabi rounded off the top five.
All 20 racers managed to post credible times around the Lake Toba course in advance of BRM Qualifying on Saturday afternoon.
