Super Sunday in Indonesia

Tony Blom-Pettersen on 25th February 2023

It’s going to be a busy day on Lake Toba tomorrow (Sunday) as both the BRM Qualifying session and the Kopiko Grand Prix of Indonesia will be competed for.

Strong north-easterly winds forced H2o Racing officials to abandon today’s qualifying session with the hope of a weather improvement tonight, although that isn’t looking likely.

Qualifying will be run over one 45 minute session and will commence at 01:00 GMT. There will be no refuling and unlimited laps.

In a surprise move F1h2o will now be running two short races tomorrow, both of which will be awarded full points.

We understand this was put into place to coincide with the President of Indonesia’s visit and to fit in with advertised TV agreements.
